Senator Doug Beck was elected in 2020 to represent the residents of the 1st Senatorial District in the Missouri Senate. Prior to his election to the Senate, he served two terms in the House of Representatives from 2016-2020. During his time in the House, he was the ranking minority member of the Economic Development and Workforce Development Committees and also served on the Veterans and Children and Families Committees.
Senator Beck defends workers and their rights, promotes public education, encourages job creation and champions affordable health care for all. He is an adamant supporter of public safety and first responders.
Aside from his legislative duties, Sen. Beck enjoys a 36-year career as a proud pipefitter and member of UA Local 562. He served on the Affton School Board for nine years, including two years as president. During his tenure, he expanded early childhood education and increased opportunities for students pursuing STEM careers.
Born and raised in St. Louis County, Sen. Beck graduated from Lindbergh High School in 1983 and attended St. Louis Community College. He has been married for 35 years to his wife, Marilyn, and has two children and three grandchildren.

David Coleman - Secretary-Treasurer

David Coleman has become a distinguished leader in the world of organized labor in the construction industry over 25 years. He joined Iron Workers Local 10, Kansas City, Missouri in 1993 as an Apprentice. By 2001, Brother Coleman was appointed to serve as Sergeant at Arms. By 2004, the Executive Committee of Local 10 appointed him as a full-time Organizer. Over the next 6 years he successfully organized several contractors and numerous iron workers. Brother Coleman was elected to serve on the Executive Board in 2006 and in 2009 was appointed Vice President of Local 10. He served in that role for 1 year before becoming the President/Business Agent in 2010. By 2015, Brother Coleman was successfully elected as the Financial Secretary-Treasurer and Business Manager.
Outside of his own local, Brother Coleman holds key positions in the following union labor organizations: St Louis & Vicinity Iron Workers District Council Vice President, Missouri State Building & Construction Trades Council Secretary-Treasurer, the Greater Kansas City Building & Construction Trades President, Board Member of Union Ink, Inc and is an Executive Board Member of the Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO. He is also the Chairman of the Mo-Kan Iron Workers Apprenticeship and Training, Pension, Annuity, and Health & Welfare Funds. Brother Coleman served as Advisory Committee Member of the Local Union and District Council Officers and Employees Pension Plan beginning in 2020 and by January of 2024, General President Dean appointed Dave as Chairman of the LU & DC Advisory Committee.

Jim Reinheimer, Jr. - Trustee
Jim is a 35 year member of IBEW Local 1 in St. Louis and is currently serving as president.
His past positions include treasurer as well as executive board member. Jim is also a Tri-County Labor Club member and was greatly involved with the No on Prop A campaign from beginning to the end.

Gordon began working construction many years ago while working alongside his Grandfather. He has been a member of Local 518 since 2004 and is currently serving as the Business Agent and President. He is also President of the Sedalia Building and Construction Trades Council. His favorite part of the job is finding and meeting the new members and helping them get started with the Local.
He is a lifelong resident of the Higginsville/Corder area. His wife of 6 years, Patti, and Gordon enjoy spending time with family, including his five grandsons, and being at the lake hunting and fishing. He also volunteers his time by working with the youth as a 4-H State Western Heritage instructor as well as sitting on the committee for the Truman Lake Fishing for Freedom organization.
